High School graduate or GED equivalent desired

Central Service Technician Certification

Knowledge of AORN Standards and Recommended Practice, as they relate to instrument processing and Central Service 

Minimum one year current O.R. experience as an Instrument Tech, and/or Central Service Tech

Physical strength and endurance in accordance with Capacity Analysis for SPT Requirements

 

SPT provides instrument processing for Surgery Department and Sterile Processing; provides decontamination of select equipment, quality assurance procedures, delivery of equipment and supplies throughout the facility; and provides ancillary assistance to the Operating Room Surgical team as needed. 

This is an OSHA Category I position. 

May perform other duties as assigned.
