SHIFT:
Will be required to work a 4/10 schedule. Will wk every other weekend. Will have to be on call 1 day/week.

The registered professional nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Under general direction of the Nurse Manager, the staff nurse is responsible and accountable for performing dialysis procedures. The registered nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

 

- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

- Must have current/valid license as registered nurse / CA

- Knowledge of theory, technique and practices of professional nursing

- Knowledge of hospital policy, routine, and equipment

- Minimum of six (6) months dialysis experience. One (1) year dialysis experience preferred

- Demonstrates competence in equipment and procedures. Annual competency specific to unit shall be maintained

- BLS/ACLS required

- Performs intradialytic monitoring for patients receiving dialysis

- Performs termination of dialysis treatment correctly

- Performs post-dialysis assessment
