RN Operating Room Mids
Los Angeles, CA(Shift is Monday thru Friday 3 PM - 11:30 PM)
RN must have PEDS experience and trauma experience is preferred.
RN must circulate and bonus if can scrub.
The hospital is a Level 1 trauma facillity and does every specialty from GI procedures, dental, Eyes, orthopedic, otolaryngology, hematology/oncology, plastic and maxillofacial, urology to neurosurgery procedures. The hospital is also does cardiothoracic procedures. Da Vinci Robot use tprimarily in Urology and General Pediatric Surgery.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Basic knowledge of patient care principles and equipment; The hospital's patient care policies and procedures. Ability to maintain a calm demeanor and assist in crises and emergencies; prioritize patient care tasks; communicate tactfully, professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing.
Equipment/Machines Used: Ventilators, Monitoring Equipment, BP Machine, IV pumps, Syringe Pumps, BG Monitor, TDS, PC, Oxygen and Aerosols, Pyxis, Medical Gas Cylinders.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs). Frequent prolonged standing/walking. Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients. Lifts supplies and equipment. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching. May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases. Handles emergency or crisis situations. May perform emergency care. Requires judgment/action which could result in death of patient.
