Admin Assistant

To provide administrative support and develop workflow process and systems for a department and/or department head with minimal supervision and direction.

1.Composes correspondence without draft contents.
2.Takes minutes at meetings.
3.Schedules meetings.
4.Prepares travel arrangements with direction.
5.Prepares reports and responsible for developing format.
6.Enters data into a database, provides summary reports, and adds fields as necessary.
7.At times, files and photocopies documents.
8.Participates in the preparation of mailing projects.
9.Provides information to telephone callers.
10.Opens and routes incoming mail as appropriate.
11.Coordinates gathering of input, documents, etc. from single sources for reports and presentations.
12.Serves as liaison for the work unit.
13.May perform transcription tasks.

•High school grad or equivalent
•Minimum 45 wpm word processing
•1-3 years previous related experience
•Strong MS Office skills and work with databases
