COMPLETE DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Department Director and Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible to provide, delegate, and coordinate nursing care provided at LCH, and is guided by the policies and procedures of the hospital. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct and indirect nursing care of the patient.
• POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES –
A. To assure that the highest quality nursing care is delivered to the patient in the most cost -effective manner
B. To help return the patient to a state of optimal wellness or to a state in which the highest quality of life can be maintained
C. Service Excellence including compassionate care is required for all staff; RN’s ensure the team follows these concepts
D. To collaborate with other members of the health care delivery team, including physicians, to deliver quality health care.
