Med/Surg Unit Manager Experience
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Complies with hospital, department and unit standards, including but not limited to safety, infection control, quality management, environmental, confidentiality, and patient care.
2. Prioritizes work and provides prompt and efficient service.
3. Demonstrates competency in selected administrative skills. Includes but not limited to:
a. Identifies and evaluates feasibility of new service/product lines.
b. Develops and presents business plans to Executive Team for implementing service/product lines.
c. Develops and implements project management plans.
d. Coordinates special projects and services of Saint John's Health Center.
4. Demonstrates Principal skills including:
a. Acts as a resource for team members in budgeting, scheduling, work assignments, leading team meetings, quality improvement activities, conflict resolution, intra-team representation and time cards.
b. Assists in evaluating and documenting employee performance.
c. Develops staff.
d. Communicates deviation from standards of practice.
5. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for own professional practice in regards to:
a. Attendance, punctuality, and confidentiality.
b. Positive public relation image and working relationships.
c. Obtaining necessary knowledge and skill needed to maintain competence.
d. Completing all mandatory requirements.
6. Participates in the development and attainment of team, department and hospital goals including:
a. Attending and participating in team meetings.
b. Volunteering or accepting assignment for projects.
c. Mission, vision and team ground rules.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
