2 years ER Experience
current CA RN license required
BLS, ACLS & PALS required
TNCC preferred
Head-to-toe assessments knowledge of normal vs abnormal findings & reporting of abnormal findings to Charge Nurse, M.D., if warranted
Critical thinking to intervene with appropriate intervention for urgent/emergent care. Care of acute and chronically ill patients.
Basic IV skills
Phlebotomy skills
Basic understanding of cardiac monitoring equipment
Advanced cardiac monitoring
Knowledge of hemodynamics
Able to care for patients on IV drips (e.g. Nitroglycerin, Dopamine)
Identifying & managing life-sustaining physiologic functions in unstable patients.
Care of post acute patients
Experience in Respiratory Therapy skills
Knowledge of care of a nonrmal & at-risk newborn
Care of general medical/surgical patient
Care of acute cardiac patients
Care of acutely ill pediatric patients
Care of acute trauma patients
Care of acutely ill geriatric patients
Care of Intibated patients
